Popular mobile FPS shooter PUBG Mobile’s Season 11 is releasing very soon on both Android and iOS. It will bring with it new content and a brand new Royale Pass. Tencent revealed that Season 11 of PUBG Mobile would begin on January 11, and players from across the globe are excited to see what the game will have to offer. We’ve also started learning about what will and will not come included in the nearing PUBG update.
The new Royal Pass for PUBG Mobile will launch on Friday, January 10 – and players will get a glimpse of what’s to come. The Pass will include an assortment of new items that players can unlock through the tier system. We also expect to see new weapons and some changes to made to the mechanics of the game with the forthcoming game update. The game will not have any significant map changes – and the highly anticipated Erangel 2.0 will not be available after the update.
Erangel 2.0 Map
Fans are a little disappointed. The map is still undergoing development, and we should see it live in a few months. Tencent confirmed the status of Erangel 2.0 via a tweet from the PUBGM support team. The dev team intends to get every detail right before releasing the map to the public. Erangel 2.0 is available to play in other versions of PUBG but has yet to launch on mobile. There are some changes between the different PUBG versions, and it looks like Tencent intends to keep a level of parity and maintain the games’ novelty moving forward.
Tencent Esports Director James Yang, in an interview in 2019, said that the mobile and PC versions of the game share the same vision and values. He stated that the PUBGM team remains focused on delivering the original PC versions’ core excitement to mobile. The team can learn from the original game’s successes and benefit from those resources. Regardless of how the upcoming updates are carried out, Mr. Yang assures the fans that they will only experience the best. While it doesn’t sound like the Erangel 2.0 map will be available in PUBG Mobile this week, it should arrive sometime soon.
PUBG Mobile Season 11

There is also news about base level issues in the game, and testers say that the team is fixing the lag problems that have loomed the game for months. Models of the new weapons have been leaked. Fans are expecting the introduction of the DBS Shotgun on both Android and iOS.
Tencent has yet to reveal all the details about the rollout of PUBG Mobile Season 11, and aside from confirming that the Royale Pass will be available on Friday, January 10, not much else is has been revealed. An extensive update will go live with Season 11, and players can expect downtime and server maintenance on January 9.
