VIVO IQOO Review All Information Here

The Vivo IQ00 has in-built gaming optimization software, along with which it also features gameplay sensors on the display screen and a vapor cooling chamber, a very unique feature that gained much attention among pro smartphone gamers. Because with its excellent gaming features it offers better performance and has a higher storage system.

Let’s see, what is in this smartphone that fascinates everybody. Take a look at the detailed features of Vivo IQOO as present below. If you are planning on buying this model, go through the features and then make a rightful decision.

    Key Features Of Vivo IQ00

        • Supports Android v9.0 (Pie)
        • Vivo IQOO has 4000 mAh battery with Flash Charging
        • VoLET/4G/3G connectivity
        • On-screen Fingerprint Sensor
        • Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Octa-core Processor
        • Expandable storage to 256 GB.
        • Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus
        • Uses Lithium polymer battery
        • 0 Bluetooth Technology
        • 12 MP f/1.79 (Digital Zoom) camera
13 MP f/2.4, Wide Angle (Ultrawide zoom) camera
2 MP f/2.4, a depth camera and LED flash
        • GPU Adreno 640

    Design & Case

When we talk about the case, just like other modern smartphones in the market, IQOO comes with a blend of metal and glass for its outer frame.

Vivo has adorned the company’s branding with attractive colors with a blooming finish on the back glass. The LED strip at the center adds a nice touch to the back. Vivo IQOO comes in three brilliant color variants: Plain black, Optic Blue and Crimson Orange.

IQOO looks hefty though, but not like ordinary gaming smartphones that look very bulky. The Vivo IQOO weighs 190g which is slim enough to be a gaming phone. The metal, shining -smooth surface makes this phone even more attractive than any other gaming smartphone such as Xiaomi Black Shark.

    Software & Hardware Installation

The Vivo IQOO also has amazing FunTouch OS, a customized version of Android 9.0 Pie. FunTouch OS works wonderfully with Android 9.0 pie but needs some time to acclimatize with the internal condition.

The FunTouch Operating system includes numerous language options, but the translations for the languages are often limited or sometimes non-existing. Moreover, Vivo IQOO is pre-installed with various apps, as per the Chinese market standards.

The Vivo IQOO model offers a range of storage and RAM which varies from model to model. The phone has the fastest Snapdragon 855 processor along with 128GB ROM and 6GB of RAM pre-installed by default. Vivo IQOO also allows storage upgradation to 8GB or 12GB of RAM as per user’s choice. Vital games need a huge amount of storage space, and for that upgradation becomes necessary.

Just if you didn’t know, there’s also a variant of Vivo IQOO available in 256GB storage with in-built 8GB of RAM.

If you frequently download a lot of games, you’ll definitely want to switch for a 256GB storage option in the forthcoming future. Also, there is no microSD slot for external storage, thus, we suggest you go for a 256GB storage option in the first place, so you don’t have to pay more on upgradation.

    Communication, Navigation, and Connectivity

The Vivo IQOO supports GSM, 3G/4G and LTE networks, which of course is expected from any new technology smartphones. The phone uses Cat. 12 for the latter, which considerably gives up to 600 Mb/s download and 100 Mb/s upload internet speed.

Along with this, the IQOO supports Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and almost all Wi-Fi standards to date i.e IEEE 802.11ac. Better surfing speed in a mid-range budget-friendly smartphone is truly amazing.

The new Vivo IQOO uses Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, and GPS for navigation and location services which are enough to track your location in any range. Sometimes the range is not accurate, but that totally depends on your actual location.

The Vivo IQOO allows LTE on both SIM slots. It does not support voice over LTE VoLTE or VoWiFi. Making it difficult to connect easily.

The Vivo IQOO has a powerful USB 2.0 Type-C port for charging along with a 3.5 mm jack which keeps the smartphone apart from most modern flagships. Unfortunately, streaming DRM-protected content is not present because IQOO is certified only up to DRM Widevine L3.

    Camera

The Vivo IQOO is majorly for mobile gamers but could have been better with the camera performance. The camera at the back features a triple rear-facing camera embedded with a 12mp real lens with an f/1.8 aperture, a second 13mp ultrawide lens with a narrowing capacity of f/2.4 aperture, and a 2mp depth-sensing lens with  f/2.4 aperture.

During daylight, the lens captures best shots, but a little disappointed with low-light or nightlight mode due to overexposed, blurred or unclear capturing effect.

    Battery & Performance

Vivo IQOO has a 4400mAh battery with a processor Snapdragon 855 SoC, which is presently Qualcomm’s flagship chipset. The battery and phone performance is efficient for any gaming and surfing purpose. The Turbocharger quickly power-ups the phone in just 1-hour which lasts all day lone.

    PROS

        • Excellent gaming performance
        • Easy storage upgradation
        • Attractive display
        • Flash charging
        • Excellent daylight capturing capacity
        • The Vivo IQOO has the best FunTouch OS and has an upgraded version of Android 9.0 pie

    CONS

        • Underwhelming cameras+ Lowlight blurring
        • Battery life could be better
        • Does not give access to DRM-protected content
        • Fingerprint sensor troubles sometimes

    Conclusion

If you are seeking for a more affordable smartphone with serious gaming features, then, Vivo IQOO is clearly a better choice. This gaming smartphone provides better and all top-notch features such as the software that enables you to play without any interruption. If you can sacrifice a camera over gaming, then Vivo IQ00 is definitely a better choice to consider.

Keep checking for daily new updates and reviews!

  • Which One To Go For Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus Vs. Pixel 4 XL

Which One To Go For Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus Vs. Pixel 4 XL

The most advanced Samsung phone with a superpower camera and a guaranteed battery is the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus. With its massive screen size, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is one of the most successful phones among the 2019 improving gadgets, which include high-quality display features, high pixel zoom camera, and a good quality video capturing features. The most noticeable feature of this phone is its in-built 5g connectivity.

Which One To Go For Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus Vs. Pixel 4 XL

    Display

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is considered one of the top phones in 2019. Its successor, Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus, has maintained the pre-set standards in 2020’s flagship. The most recognizable feature of this phone is its massive size screen, which is incorporated with various other features that creates a great viewing experience. The phone comes with a 120 Hz refresh rate, WQHD + display technology, and high resolution.

On the top-center of the display, the phone contains a punch-hole camera, which is considered to be 55% smaller than the S10 Plus. The phone has a resolution of 3200 x 1440, wide Quad high-definition Plus. The user can drop down the resolution level if he wants to save battery life. This is considered to be one of the most high-resolution phones available in the market now.

The 120 Hz refresh rate enables the display to update the viewing image by 120 times per second. The Galaxy S20 Plus has a somewhat generic look when compared to other phones. The phone has a dimension of 161.9 x 73.7 x 7.8mm body and is light as 186g.

The Google Pixel 4 Xl is the successor of Pixel 4 constructed by the use of very soft gorilla glass five backsides. It comes with a 6.3 inches P-OLED display and is way brighter than its predecessor. This phone has everything that Google has known since its inception.

    Camera

The latest version of Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, Galaxy S20 Plus, has been upgraded with the newest camera version. It has a large sensor for a better picture. The significant change that the Galaxy S10 Plus has survived in the Galaxy S20 Plus is its improvement in the camera department with a 64MP sensor against 12MP. The Galaxy S20 Plus also comes with a 3x optical zoom feature against 2x of Galaxy S10. It has four rear cameras.

Apart from the above changes, the new Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus also comes with various small changes. The bigger battery of 4500 mAh, new chipset, 5G connectivity, and better RAM are few features to be mentioned. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus comes with a 6.7 inches AMOLED screen.

There has been a shift of the rear camera block to top-left, which is very common in many of the 2019 and 2020 smartphones. The back of the phone is made up of glass that is not very comfortable to hold. The placement of the front camera blocks much of the screen.

Another essential feature of the Galaxy S20 Plus is the Time-of-flight (ToF) lens to sense the depth and to distinguish between the subject and the background with a 10MP selfie camera.

It has an improved camera with added Astrophotography shooting mode and a viewfinder. With the addition of a new telephoto camera, the photo can capture pictures from far away distance. The fingerprint scanner, which was once discovered by Google, is being replaced with Face unlock features in Pixel 4 XL, which is a similar Apple face lock.

With the primary camera of 12.2 MP and a selfie camera of 8MP + ToF 3D Sensor, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus has few more points in its bag for having higher camera quality.

    Processor

The camera has automatic scene optimization and secure options for better pictures within a short time. The phone comes with an 865 chipset with 5G connectivity. The phone runs on Android 10 and is upgradable to the newest updates in the future. It comes with a 25W fast charger for easy charging of the phone.

The Google Pixel 4 XL runs on Android 10 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and Octa-core processor. It has Adreno 640 GPU with non-expandable memory of 6GB RAM and 64/128 GB internal storage. The Google Pixel 4 XL has a 3700 mAh lithium polymer battery, which is lesser than the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus.

Added to these, there is an added feature of Radar-based motion-sensing technology. It distinguishes the wave gesture made by the user when the screen sleeps. These are the best and the worst sides of both smartphones.  Let us now compare both of them and see if they are worth their prices.

    Conclusion

The Galaxy S20 Plus is sleek with round edges and a single hole-punch, whereas Pixel 4 XL has a larger bezel that makes it a bit ugly. The S20 Plus has a bigger display screen of about 6.7 inches Dynamic AMOLED display against 6.3 inch AMOLED Pixel Display. Both the phones have similar sharpness though Pixel 4 XL has tiny edge pixels-per-inch. While S20 has a 120Hz refresh rate, the pixel has about 90Hz refresh rate.

Both the smartphone’s bodies are having a glass. That prevents cracks and scrapes with an IP68-rating for dust and water-resistance. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus has a better and faster processor of Snapdragon 865, while pixel has Snapdragon 855. Again S20 has more memory of 12GB against 6GB memory of Google Pixel 4 XL.

The Galaxy S20 has MicroSD card support, which is not available in Pixel 4 XL.

As far as the battery capacity is concerned, Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus has much battery capacity of 4500 mAh while Pixel 4XL has a battery capacity of 3700 mAh. Though Google Pixel has wireless and fast charging, it cannot surpass the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus in terms of battery capacity.

Therefore, it is preferable to buy Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus over Google Pixel 4 Xl.

  • Oppo’s All-New Patented Stylus: Calls Made Easier

Oppo’s All-New Patented Stylus: Calls Made Easier

Oppo has been bringing in new features and attributes to its smartphones often. It is never the one smartphone company that shies away from experimenting with its products and delivering extraordinary features to the users, be it in the camera, design, or any other aspect.

Oppo’s All-New Patented Stylus: Calls Made Easier

Recently, it has announced a smartphone that shall come packed with a stylus pen. It is the next patent Oppo filing, which will give the users an experience of how a stylus will look when incorporated in a smartphone.

Quite frankly, the design of the phone is not at all compromising, given the inclusion of the stylus pen in it. It has a unique look that almost gets merged with the body of the phone and does not have a pit to house the stylus pen.

    Further Details

Speaking about the advantages of the all-new stylus pen, reports suggest that the stylus can also be used as a microphone for further ease of use for users. It can be used to both make and receive calls. It is a battery-powered stylus that will connect to the phone via Bluetooth. Furthermore, there are two multifunction buttons on the edge of the stylus pen, which users can use to control the volume during phone calls.

On the outside, the smartphone has a very slim bezel on its edges, but when it is attached, the bezel seems more extensive than usual. When the stylus is removed, only a small portion of the bezel remains, which acts as the selfie camera module and also other related sensors.

The pen tip of this new phone goes into the camera module slot, and the rest of the stylus links up using magnetic pins, which aid in charging the stylus along with the handset. When placed in the camera module, the buttons on the stylus pen face outward, which then assists in adjusting the ring volume of the phone.

    Bottom Lines

Oppo has decided to launch this new handset anytime in the near future and test the all-new stylus pen feature. Earlier, Samsung has tried its hands in experimenting with stylus pens back in 2012. But with the ever reforming technologies, one would typically ask why is a stylus pen required for phone calls when Bluetooth devices have become majorly prevalent in the market.

However, it is also good to keep in mind that companies often come up with patent designs that take years to be rolled out to the market. Sometimes, these designs also remain unused by companies depending upon the market trends.

But the siblings differ from each other in terms of configuration, specifications, and price in both countries. In India, Realme launched C3 under the tag of ‘Budget Phone,’ while in Thailand, they haven’t attached any such label. In the Thai variant, internal features, camera, fingerprint sensor, memory options are upscaled.

    Realme C3 Phone Specifications

Although Thailand’s variant has few commonalities with the Indian version. It comprises a MediaTek Helio G70 SoC CPU, a 6.52- inch screen, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery. However, the differences are that there’s a third camera, along with a fingerprint sensor.

      • The unique feature of the Thai version is the triple rear camera. It has a 12 MP primary sensor, 2 MP macro lens, and 2 MP depth sensor.
      • Aperture f/1.8 is quite an impressive up-gradation along with 4x electronic zoom. As far as the front camera is concerned, there’s no upgrade from the Indian variant.
      • It is the same 5 MP camera with charm and HDR option having an aperture of f/2.4.
      • MediaTek Helio G70 SoC is an Arm cortex A75 CPU with 2 GHZ and A55 single octa-core clusters.

It certainly improves the phone’s performance over Wi-Fi and high internet speed. G70 provides Integrated voice backup and fast AI-performance, which puts the mobile in competition with other gaming smartphones.

  • Redmi K20 Pro Review

    Redmi K20 Pro Review

The recently revealed Redmi K20 Pro, otherwise known as Mi 9T Pro, is basically the successor to the wildly popular Pocophone F1 by Xiaomi. The regular variant of the smartphone did quite well as well with a good screen, a reasonable battery, and a nice camera. However, it could have had better performance. This is exactly where the Pro version of the phone enters the game. The newer model has a flagship Snapdragon 855 chip, a good upgrade from the Snapdragon 730 that Redmi K20 had. The Redmi K20 Pro runs on the Poco launcher 2 based on MIUI 10 with Android Pie core.

    Mi 9T Pro
    Mi 9T Pro

The Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro/Mi 9T Pro has a 6.39″ notch-less Super AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The 20MP selfies camera is housed behind the pop-up module. This is the latest solution for the notch issue and is being followed by many manufacturers. The rear camera module has a 48MP f/1.8 primary, an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto, and a 13MP f/2.4 ultrawide arrangement. It offers excellent value for money with an amazing processor, a splendid camera, and all the other features we take for granted on a flagship. It doesn’t hurt that is it affordable as well.

    Design

The Redmi K20 and Mi 9T phones are designed to look extraordinary while featuring amazing specs. The smartphone boasts of an immersive screen with a durable body. The notch-less AMOLED, called by Xiaomi as Horizon AMOLED, makes for a great look. The pop-up selfie camera is the solution to a notch-less display. Now, the K20 Pro users will be able to enjoy using the 6.39″ Samsung-made OLED screen with 1080p resolution without any distraction.

The phone also features an under-display optical fingerprint reader at the bottom. It is reliable, accurate, and super-fast. The pop-up camera lights up in red as it comes up, making it appear very stylish. The pop-up contains the LED notification lighting. The back of the device contains the same texture as that of the all-Kevlar Pocophone, but it is a mix of gradient hues and patterns. The Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro/Mi 9T Pro comes with a loudspeaker, a USB-C port, SIM/microSD card, and of course, the 3.5mm audio jack.

The Redmi K20 Pro has a 6.39″ Super AMOLED screen that is fully made by Samsung. You may notice that the rounded corners eat up the pixels a bit. The resolution is 2,340 x 1,080 pixels with a 19.5:9 screen aspect ratio. It is one of the most common screens in the market, regardless of the notch’s presence. It covers the DCI-P3 colour space and is completely shielded by a Gorilla Glass 5.

With regards to the brightness, the screen’s OLED panel is about 450 nits. It can reach 643 nits in bright light, exceeding the company’s word of 600 nits. The minimum brightness is quite impressive. With pure white colour, it was 2.2 nits. Users can make use of the three contrast settings offered by Xiaomi – default, warm, cool. The standard contrast is as per RGB with an excellent setting for colour accuracy.

    Battery Life

The Redmi K20 Pro is supported by a 4,000mAh Li-ion battery. It has a Quick Charge feature as well. Thanks to the 18W charger, the phone’s battery can reach 50% in just 30 mins. A full charge, on the other hand, will take about 100 minutes. The screen-on times are quite high and the phone offers nearly 20 hours in video playback. The standby was better with the Mi 9T/K20 variant than on the Pro model, but then the chipset is less power efficient as well.

Android 9 Pie, MIUI 10.3, and Poco launcher 2.0

The Xiaomi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro smartphone run on MIUI 10.3 ROM based on Android 9 Pie. One difference is that the K20 Pro comes with Poco launcher 2.0 pre-installed. It supports the Always-on display and you can choose if you want to enable, disable, or schedule it. There are also plenty of themes that you are likely to fall in love with. The launch adds a feature-rich app drawer.

    Audio, Video, and Speakers Quality

The Redmi K20 Pro smartphone has a single bottom-firing loudspeaker which is quite loud. The output is appreciable at its rich sound, high volume, and detail. It also performed well with an active external amplifier by being extra clear at a very high volume. While the headphone was not nearly as awesome, the accuracy was good enough.

With regards to the video, the smartphone cam captures video up to 4K @ 60fps. Unfortunately, not all the camera can capture the video. You cannot use the ultrawide snapper for shooting in 4K @60fps. The 2X zoom toggle cannot switch to the telephoto camera at all, meaning you will have to stick to the main camera. The video is sharp, clear, and quite detailed, with no cause for concern.

    Camera Quality

The Redmi K20 Pro or Mi 9T Pro have the triple-camera at the rear. The main camera has a 1/2″ 48MP sensor with f/1.75 26mm lens that takes 12MP pictures. Other sensors are 8MP (1/4″) telephoto snapper with f/2.4 52mm lens for 2x optical zoom and a 13MP (1/3″) sensor with an f/2.4 15mm lens for ultra-wide-angle shots. The primary sensor here is the Sony IMX 586 while the older one had the IMX 582. While both of them are pretty similar in most respect, the IMX 586 can take 4K video capturing at 60fps.

The 48MP main sensor has a Quad-Bayer colour filter which basically combines four pixels to help capture more light and reduce noise. The selfie camera is a 20MP one on a motorized pop-up module. The pictures are sharp, detailed, and rich in colours. Unfortunately, there is no autofocus available here. Despite the lack of a depth sensor, the camera takes pretty good pics with blurred backgrounds.

    Verdict

Xiaomi’s latest Redmi K20 Pro / Mi 9T Pro smartphone is one of the best releases this year. While it is not called a Pocophone, it features everything and more than the phone would have. Redmi K20 Pro is what the phone is called in India while the other regions know it as Mi 9T Pro.

  • What Is NFC And Why Should I Use It?

What Is NFC And Why Should I Use It?

NFC technology is becoming popular by the day thanks to the conveniences it offers. But, what exactly is it and how does one use it? So, let’s dive right in. NFC stands for Near Field Communication. It is basically a way for your smartphone or watch to communicate with something that is close by. NFC generally works with a radius of about 4cm by using a wireless connection between the devices. This method is perfect for two-way communication with both the involved devices being able to send and receive data. One thing to note here is that the NFC connection does not depend on 3G, LTE, or Wi-Fi. The best part about it is that it doesn’t cost anything!

    NFC
    NFC

The UK has had it for quite a while now, but it is just becoming more common in the US. In the UK, you may have noted credit or debit card that allows the users to make contactless payments. This is basically due to NFC. An interesting fact here is that Eat, a high street retail chain, was the first one to make use of NFC and this was in 2008. Today, in addition to credit and debit cards, you will be able to use this tech on your smartphone or smartwatch. There are plenty of online services, such as Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Android Pay that works using NFC, allowing you to digitize your wallet and make life more convenient. It is a good idea to understand just how this service works.

    How does NFC work?

To put it simply, Near Field Communication basically uses wireless data transfer to detect a device in close proximity to communicate with it without requiring an internet connection. It is fast and reliable. You don’t have to authenticate anything and once you have your digital wallet set up, the process is pretty automatic. The RFID tech used helps the NFC chip with one part of the wireless link. Once this is activated by another chip, the two devices can start communicating data when they are close to each other.

It does make life easier since there is no need for pairing or one-time passwords. Another advantage of this method is that the chips here use up very low amounts of power, making it a very power-efficient option when compared to others. NFC basically identifies us by using our cards and devices. It could also verify our personal info and bank accounts.

    Using NFC

NFC chips are basically embedded within our debit and credit cards. More recently, these chips are coming with our smartphones and watches. To use NFC to make payments, you will first have to set up a digital wallet. This could include Google Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, and more. Once done, you will have to add your card to it. Then, simply bring it near the pay terminal and your account will be debited. Besides payment, NFC can also be used to transfer photos and other data. Android Beam is a good option for this.
