New Competition In The Fitness Band Market- The Playfit 53

Fitness trackers are one of those gadgets which are in high demand these days. We can also see many other companies jumping into this segment due to heavy demand from the market. Recently, I came across a New Delhi based brand, which is a start-up as of now. The product name is PlayFit 53 and it is a fitness band.

New Competition In The Fitness Band Market- The Playfit 53

The company also offers other products such as smartwatches. The band seems to be quite interesting, so I bought one for myself. I have been using it for a month now, and now it’s high time I share honest reviews with the world.

You can just go through the review as I am going to give you all the details about the product, be it the pros and cons and whether the watch is preferable for daily use or not.

    Specifications

First and foremost, let’s get into the specifications. So, basically the band is equipped with-

      • 96-inch 2.5D glass TFT LCD colour display along with a full torch UI
      • Bluetooth 4.2 with connectivity to Android [4.4 and above] and iOS [9.0 and above].
      • Nordic nRF52832 Chipset
      • Heart rate tracker, pedometer and it also monitors your sleep [via the app in phone]
      • Hand gesture sensors which enable the user to click pictures by just flicking the wrist.
      • Supports 14 sport modes like running, walking, skipping, tennis, etc.
      • Gives call and notification alert
      • 7-10 hours of battery life
      • Dimensions- 24 x 2.2 x 1.3 cm, weight- 22.7 g
      • Priced at just Rs. 1,999 only

    Design and Display

The all-new PlayFit 53 is quite a decent product and it does not look like a funky band. It is a subtle and simple fitness band with a sturdy look and super comfortable straps. The material of the band is not that premium but its curved design fits nicely on your wrist.

The display supports touch and different colours. The size of the band is similar to the Mi Band 4 and has a button at the bottom.

    Software, Connectivity and the performance

The connectivity of the band is very easy as the users just have to install the Play app and register themselves on the app. You just have to enter some basic data about yourself like name, age, gender and you are good to go.

The band has a touch-based UI and supports both Android and iOS devices. The navigations are quite simple and easy to use. The home screen has a very basic layout, which displays all your essential data.

The issue with me was that the raise to wake feature did not work for me very well. I have to press the capacitive button whenever I need to wake the screen up.

    Battery Life

The band usually lasts up to a week on a single charge and it does not need any separate charger. The capsule of the band attaches to the USB directly.

    Conclusion

As a start-up, PlayFit has done a great job in the fitness band market. It lacks in display quality and the built-up material quality. If the brand comes up with a solution to these issues and improves the quality of material, the band is a great choice. The PlayFit 53 is a considerable option if you are looking for a fitness band under Rs. 2000.

        • TRANYA Rimor: These earbuds have exceptional sound quality as the 10mm speaker drivers provide additional clarity and depth in the bass of the sound. It maintains the original representation and the depth of the sound.

This is really an important factor considering that the earbuds are wireless and you cannot trade enjoyment for the comfort problems.

        • TOZO T6: These are comfortable and fit into the ear without any discomfort or pain.
        • TOZO T10: This is the best in terms of comfort. They will fit great for the people with smaller ears, who generally face issues with earbuds.

        • TOZO T10: It has great build quality with soft rubber buds. With IPX8 waterproof capabilities, its quality will overpower its cost.
        • TRANYA Rimor: With IPX8 waterproof capabilities and sweat resistance, this is durable and long-lasting. Its excellent quality supersedes its price.

    Noise-canceling and battery life

        • TOZO T6: It does not provide a really good noise-canceling feature, but a good battery life of 6 hours.
        • TOZO T10: Many people use these for passive noise cancellation during flights etc. but the active noise cancellation is not very good. It offers an average battery life of 4 hours.
        • TRANYA Rimor: Its noise cancellation is not as good as others, and a battery life of 5 hours.

Considering these features, it is totally up to you which earbuds are best for you. The above listed are some of the most important and decisive features for any earbud to become the best one.

  • Lenovo A6000 Plus Review

    Lenovo A6000 Plus Review

Xiaomi is one of the most popular brands in India and, as a result, has enjoyed much success. The company’s major selling point is its competitive pricing. It doesn’t hurt that most of their phone has excellent features and are at the top of the market. It has, of course, led the way for other manufacturers to try the same tactics in a bid to gain more market share. Lenovo, one of the main competitors for Xiaomi in China, the company is now trying to hedge into the Indian markets as well. Let’s jump into this Lenovo A6000 Plus Review.

    Lenovo A6000 Plus Review
    Lenovo A6000 Plus Review

The Lenovo A6000 Plus was recently released by the same in a flash sale. The A6000 and A7000 were released in a similar manner some time back and it looks like their marketing strategy works since both these models were quite successful. The latest Lenovo A6000 Plus is an upgrade over the A6000 model. Most of the specs remain the same, but you may notice some improvements that make it better than the original smartphone.

    Design and Display

If you are asked to identify the phones kept side-by-side, it will not be an easy task at all! Look-wise, there is no difference between the Lenovo A6000 Plus from the A6000. Both of them look the same and are identical! The Plus model features a comfortable weight and dimensions while enjoying matte finish at the back. The ergonomics of this phone are pretty satisfactory as well.

You will notice that the volume rocker and power button are located on the right side of the phone. On the top, the Micro-USB port and 3.5mm socket are housed while the two speakers take their place on the bottom of the rear. The front camera and earpiece are situated above the screen. The screen remains the same as A6000 featuring a 294ppi 5-inch panel.

    Specifications and Software

The 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC seen in the Lenovo A6000 remains a fixture for the Plus model as well. One of the major distinguishing factors between the regular and the Plus models include the increase in internal storage and RAM. While newer smartphone features 16GB of storage and 2GB RAM whereas the older one had only 8GB and 1GB respectively. Another good news is the fact that the storage is expandable up to 32GB with microSD cards. This feature has been kept in place to offer more value to customers who are looking at the long-term benefits of owning such a device.

    Lenovo A6000 Plus Display
    Lenovo A6000 Plus Display

Most of the other specifications are the same. You will see that the smartphone comes with Bluetooth 4.0, 4G connectivity, and a 2,300mAh Lithium-polymer battery. The phone also boasts of an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. The Lenovo A6000 Plus runs on Android KitKat 4.4.4 with the Vibe 2.0 user interface layered on top. Unfortunately, it does have a lot of bloatware and way too many pre-installed apps. While some could be said to be useful, most of them just are occupying space.

If attention was paid to this, this could free up some valuable space that could be put to good use. Regardless, you can always disable or uninstall it. Coming to the user interface factor of the phone, many feel that the lack of an app drawer is a major drawback. The UI also feels a bit cheap and cartoony. If you purchase it and are not pleased with the default settings, you can always download a launcher from the Google Play Store.

    Camera

The camera app is designed to be minimalist. All the settings are grouped together under a single menu. You can switch between the photo, video, and the panorama mode in a jiffy. You will also be glad to know that there are shortcuts to access the front camera, flash, and HDR mode. Coming to the autofocus feature, it is quick and usually, quite accurate.

The camera specs are also the same as the Lenovo A6000. While the camera is good enough, it is not consistent, and you may sometimes end up taking poor shots. A couple of main issues include overexposure in daylight shots and poor outlining in low-light conditions. Video is limited to 720p as with its predecessor.

    Performance

The RAM has been enhanced in this model and now, you can be sure that the performance is boosted by a great deal. This is good news for a budget model like this one. In addition to getting better performance, you will now be able to use more apps simultaneously. This was not something you could have done with the A6000 since it would almost always slow down.

    Lenovo A6000 Plus
    Lenovo A6000 Plus

The Lenovo A6000 Plus boasts of better benchmark numbers as well. The device got 21,392 and 11,860 in AnTuTu and Quadrant. 3DMark and GFX Bench scores were similar to the A6000 at 5262 and 9.6fps respectively. The Lenovo A6000 Plus is a 4G model and would be a great option once 4G networks are rolled out extensively in India. As of now, most users in India only receive 3G service. Coming to battery life, you will not be disappointed. It can last you easily for over a day. Compared to the older version, it gives slightly more battery life.

    Verdict

The Lenovo A6000 was a great smartphone. Lenovo has managed to work out the few kinks it had and introduced the Lenovo A6000 Plus model, which is now one of the most popular phones out there. With better performance and excellent value, there is no doubt that users are flocking to buy this. It also doesn’t hurt that it has a better battery and more storage space and RAM.

Coming to its drawbacks, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of it. However, it still does not feature any protective glass on the screen or have stunning cameras. If Lenovo could work out these problems, the A6000 Plus would be a brilliant option indeed. At the moment, it is available in limited quantities and only via Flipkart, a popular eCommerce platform in India.

    User Reviews

User Turgidity reviews the phone as follows:

    Pros

    -very good camera specs

    -good for communication

-ease of use in apps and settings of phone

    Cons

-easily heats up which often cause sweaty hands

-playing fast paced games may not the best option for this one

-space is too little if you are planning to have quite a lot of apps in it

    Conclusion:

Good for simple tasks and great pictures to take. Playing fast paced games in a good fps will require a lot more effort to maintain its value in phone usage.

If you are used to sweaty hands while using phones, then you wouldnt mind much for this one. Caches and rubbish datas can be cleaned off easily by using its build-in system.

    Steven2810 says

The best phone .. i have been using it from jan 2017 and still writing about this device by this phone .. best value for money .. i had only one issue was that off charging port as have sweaty palms rest never had any issue about the device . No lag no software issue nothing about hardware issue ..

23271 is of the following opinion

I have this phone for almost 2 years and it’s pretty incredible but it has some battery issues if you’ll enable Data in 4G and Full brightness and then gaming the batter will only last 2 or 3 Hrs If you have this issue better go to the nearest oppo center and change the battery immediately

Ps: It can play pubg but in low settings :>

    An anonymous user says

Oppo a57 is good phone if you want to do some casual work on it like email, using high speed 4g internet, watching videos and also playing small games like clash of clans.

I tried pubg and free fire but there so many lags and heating issue.

Phone’s UI is clean and has some nice and useful feqtures but few things can make you angry, like the notification bar when hotspot is on always blink every second.

Talking about cameras the quality is very nice you can also use ultra HD mode but the selfie camera focus only on your face it will never show you details of background It may show you light green background as complete white background. UI of oppo should improve like stock android this phone will never represent notification neetly keyboard is little bit annoying and also company is not providing major software update.

    User Arslan reviews as:

I have been using this phone Oppo A57 for 2 months.

If you want to buy a phone for taking quality pictures this is the best phone. Much better than samsung or huawei.

If you want to buy a phone for a good allround experience go for Samsung or Huawei.

    My rating is 6/10.

    User Shen writes

It’s a good deal for the money with mediocre specs. One great thing about this phone though, is the front cam. which is super clear on bright light. But this phone doesn’t perform well on low light. Feels and almost weighs like an iphone 5s. But if you’re looking for an overall phone for everyday use with enough storage for selfies, then this phone is just about right.

    Conclusion: Oppo A57 Review

Looking at the review and user opinions, it looks as if most users are quite happy with the phone. Oppo has once again managed to come up with a smartphone that not only looks stylish and feels good, but has great features, capabilities, and offers incredible performance as well. The cherry on top is that all this is offered at a very budget price.

  • Xiaomi Redmi 8A – Review

    Xiaomi Redmi 8A – Review

The Xiaomi Redmi series is very popular in India and is every moment heading towards reaching even greater heights. Its baseline idea is to cater to the user’s technological demands and advancements at the lowest possible prices. It started as a low-cost mobile company but has now reached the heights of the market. It has struck hard even the most popular of mobile brands.

    Xiaomi Redmi 8A

Redmi 8A is an advancement to Redmi 7A, launched after three months of its release. With a better camera quality and battery backup, it promises a better operating system and storage. It has a Type-C USB port and ensures a battery as big as 5,000mAh.

Redmi 8A – Outer looks and design

The prices make it difficult to believe that Redmi 8A’s great and brandy looks are not deceiving! Its great looks offered at such a low price are awesome! It has a 6.22-inch big display, which is much greater than a 5.45-inch display of Redmi 7A.

At the top of the phone, it has a notch and at all sides, it has bezels. Its curved sides are making it look even more classy and comfortable to hold. There is a secondary microphone at the top of the phone. The upper and lower sides of the phone are flat. These great looks at this cost are remarkable to see. Its Type-C USB augments its classy appearance.

You will be able to see only one camera, LED and Xiaomi logo at the back of the phone. It does not provide you with the newest and trendiest technology-fingerprint sensor, but this can be ignored, considering its price.

Redmi 8A’s operating system and software

It has an HD+ display and a resolution of around 720*1440 pixels. It has two types of Redmi 8A phones available, based on the storage capacities. One has 32 GB storage and 2 GB of RAM. The other has the same storage with 3 GB of RAM to offer at a minimal hike in price. It protects its screen with a special Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

It has a bigger battery of 5,000mAh. This phone supports 18W of fast charging.  But Xiaomi only makes 10W chargers available in the phone’s boxes. Redmi has offered two nano-SIM slots. The microSD is exclusively provided for storage expansion.

The other striking features that this smartphone offers to us include wireless FM functionality, Android 9 Pie. It also enables Google’s Digital Wellbeing and Google’s Family Link. Gesture navigation, built-in App Lock and Game Speed Booster app are other great features offered to its users.

    Battery Life and Performance

Redmi 8A Phone has a big 5,000mAh battery, which enables the use of many heavy apps while consuming less battery life. The battery can be easily changed within 2 hours and 30 minutes. Along with low drainage and very good performance, it allows up to 18W of fast charging. But you need to buy this 18W Xiaomi charger separately.

    Camera Quality

It has a single camera at the back with the 1.8 aperture and a pixel size of 1.4 microns. This enables dual-pixel Autofocus. Its selfie-front camera carries 2.0 focal aperture and 1.12-micron pixel.

In all, Xiaomi 8A is almost like Xiaomi 7A in all its features and specifications but offers a lot of advanced features too. Its better battery life and a bigger display coupled with a greater RAM make it a better. It offers a better handgrip and Aura wave grip design.

Both are the latest additions by Garmin in the watch market. Both, apparently have the same smart features. Both are smart enough to track your activity and sleep hours. They can monitor your heart rate and you easily with GPS. Another striking feature is stress and hydration tracking.

It has a feature that can monitor body energy and battery. It analyses the stress, sleep, hydration levels and the variability in heart rates. Then helps in determining the body energy levels. It can monitor oxygen levels in the blood also. It enables the connection with Garmin Pay too.

There is another great feature. This watch enables us to schedule our rest and exercise time. This watch helps us take care of our health. That’s great! No? Both have 0.95” * 0.75” AMOLED display screen. Both have water resistance up to 5 ATM of pressure. Once charged, this can remain active without complete drainage of battery for up to 5 days.

    Conclusion

In all, if we talk about the features, both of them are almost the same. They offer the same technological advancements and at the same time, the same pitfalls. The only difference lies in their appearance. If you are a fashionable person and have enough fortunes to spend extra on Vivomove Luxe, for its looks. Well! Go for Vivomove Luxe. But if you want the decent, classy looks along with the features both have to offer, go for Garmin Vivomove Style, it being more affordable.

    Review- Soundpeats Truengine 2

SoundPEATS is one of the leading makers of the headphones. If you observe the Amazon marketplace, you can see that the company is dominating the Australian market of wireless headphones. The company occupies the top 3 spots in the Amazon market. Moreover, it has made some space in the Canadian and US markets as well. The previous products also have made some good impact on various marketplaces and the consumers are looking for more such products.

    Review- Soundpeats Truengine 2

    What Is In The Box?

The box is a cute little case. You can reveal the earphones by opening it. The case is not that secured as far as safety is concerned. If you open the case in the wrong way, there are chances of the earphones to fall down. It contains a short USB cable for charging which you can plug into the case directly. It also contains a set of extra earbuds, a user manual, and customer care booklets.

Are They Useful In A Helmet?

The earphones are not designed for motorcycle helmets. The outer part of the earphone is a bit larger which won’t be comfortable if you wear them under helmets. Other wireless earphones which are smaller in size can be useful in this case.

You can still wear them under a helmet if you are comfortable. But make sure to be cautious when you take your helmet off. As in such a case, you may drop the earphones down and it can even lead to damage to the earbuds. For someone, who is not that careful when it comes to taking care of small stuff, this can be a disadvantage.

Another issue is that you cannot use the Google assistant feature while your helmet is on. The sound does not reach to the earphones while riding. Therefore, they are not a great option for wearing under a helmet.

About Their Look, Feel And Weight

To be honest the SoundPEATS Truengine 2s reminds me of the old Bluetooth earphones. But, these earphones do not feel heavy or bulky in the ears and fits perfectly in the ears. There are flashy indicator lights on the sides.

The lights provide you with battery indication and the current status of the earphones. The already-fitted medium size was perfect for my ears, and the provided smaller and larger sizes worked well for friends I tried them out on. I wear these earbuds while running and cycling. Not even for once did the earbuds feel like they are falling out, despite wearing them during cycling and running.

The SoundPEATS Truengine 2 is noticeable in my ears, and not even heavy. They Weigh 6.1g and are the lightest wireless earphones I have ever bought.

    Are They Comfortable?

After all the running and jumping during my workouts, the earphones still stick to my ears without falling even once. They are quite comfortable in use and if you feel they are not fitting in your ears, you can change the ear tips as per your comfort.

You can wear them even when you are climbing or trekking and will not experience any difficulties. The tight-fitting of the earphones give you a nice experience of zero noise disturbances. Its noise cancellation capacity is really awesome. It gives a nice audio quality and you can even listen when someone’s talking to you.

The problem with the earphones is that it does not increase or decrease the volume quickly. The changes in the volumes are delayed which results in a small disappointment. But, SoundPEATS claims that their clear voice capture allows the earphones to deliver clear calls even in noisy surroundings. This feature adds a point to its advantages.

    Its Battery Life

The SoundPEATS Truengine 2 gives you a battery life of up to 7 hours continuously. This is impressive because the apple AirPods and Bose Soundsport offer a battery life of 5 hours.

SoundPEATS case holds a battery backup of 30 hours which is very impressive as compared to other brands. Once you charge it, you don’t have to charge it for a week at least. This is something you won’t see in any other brand within this price range. Therefore, its battery life and backup are awesome.

    Controls And Extra Features

You can easily control the SoundPEATS Truengine 2 by touching the face of the earbuds. There are a few commands it takes like skipping songs, taking calls, call to a voice assistant, etc. But, there is no option to control volume which makes it a drawback. So whenever you are running or cycling, you have to keep your phone handy to control the volumes.

The touch sensors are not that good because you have to press the right spot of the earphones. Only the bottom half of the earphone is touch-sensitive. So, you have to look for the perfect spot to press and use the features. You cannot use the touch sensors in the first attempt every time.

    Conclusion

If you are looking for wireless earphones that won’t fall off your ears, then you can opt for these. The SoundPEATSTruEngine 2 gives a nice grip to your ears even when you are running, working out or cycling. The earphones deliver fantastic sound quality with utmost comfort at the same time.

There may be some occasional faults that you may experience like an audio drop, synching problems, etc. But, one thing is for sure that the earphones are not a disappointment for its users. These faults are not that major, but the quality and comfort it offers is something really awesome in this price range.

The biggest issue you will face is with the touch controls. They are quite annoying at times as you can’t operate them in a single go. This is one issue that adds a point in its demerits.

Lastly, the conclusion is that it is worth the price for users who love comfortable earphones. Its comfortable fitting and audio quality is something that is worth its price. You just cannot find any other brand more comfortable than the SoundPEATS TruEngine 2.

        • VoLET/4G/3G connectivity
        • On-screen Fingerprint Sensor
        • Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Octa-core Processor
        • Expandable storage to 256 GB.
        • Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, Touch to focus
        • Uses Lithium polymer battery

2 MP f/2.4, a depth camera and LED flash
        • GPU Adreno 640

    Design & Case

When we talk about the case, just like other modern smartphones in the market, IQOO comes with a blend of metal and glass for its outer frame.

Vivo has adorned the company’s branding with attractive colors with a blooming finish on the back glass. The LED strip at the center adds a nice touch to the back. Vivo IQOO comes in three brilliant color variants: Plain black, Optic Blue and Crimson Orange.

IQOO looks hefty though, but not like ordinary gaming smartphones that look very bulky. The Vivo IQOO weighs 190g which is slim enough to be a gaming phone. The metal, shining -smooth surface makes this phone even more attractive than any other gaming smartphone such as Xiaomi Black Shark.

    Software & Hardware Installation

The Vivo IQOO also has amazing FunTouch OS, a customized version of Android 9.0 Pie. FunTouch OS works wonderfully with Android 9.0 pie but needs some time to acclimatize with the internal condition.

The FunTouch Operating system includes numerous language options, but the translations for the languages are often limited or sometimes non-existing. Moreover, Vivo IQOO is pre-installed with various apps, as per the Chinese market standards.

The Vivo IQOO model offers a range of storage and RAM which varies from model to model. The phone has the fastest Snapdragon 855 processor along with 128GB ROM and 6GB of RAM pre-installed by default. Vivo IQOO also allows storage upgradation to 8GB or 12GB of RAM as per user’s choice. Vital games need a huge amount of storage space, and for that upgradation becomes necessary.

Just if you didn’t know, there’s also a variant of Vivo IQOO available in 256GB storage with in-built 8GB of RAM.

If you frequently download a lot of games, you’ll definitely want to switch for a 256GB storage option in the forthcoming future. Also, there is no microSD slot for external storage, thus, we suggest you go for a 256GB storage option in the first place, so you don’t have to pay more on upgradation.

    Communication, Navigation, and Connectivity

The Vivo IQOO supports GSM, 3G/4G and LTE networks, which of course is expected from any new technology smartphones. The phone uses Cat. 12 for the latter, which considerably gives up to 600 Mb/s download and 100 Mb/s upload internet speed.

Along with this, the IQOO supports Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and almost all Wi-Fi standards to date i.e IEEE 802.11ac. Better surfing speed in a mid-range budget-friendly smartphone is truly amazing.

The new Vivo IQOO uses Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, and GPS for navigation and location services which are enough to track your location in any range. Sometimes the range is not accurate, but that totally depends on your actual location.

The Vivo IQOO allows LTE on both SIM slots. It does not support voice over LTE VoLTE or VoWiFi. Making it difficult to connect easily.

The Vivo IQOO has a powerful USB 2.0 Type-C port for charging along with a 3.5 mm jack which keeps the smartphone apart from most modern flagships. Unfortunately, streaming DRM-protected content is not present because IQOO is certified only up to DRM Widevine L3.

    Camera

The Vivo IQOO is majorly for mobile gamers but could have been better with the camera performance. The camera at the back features a triple rear-facing camera embedded with a 12mp real lens with an f/1.8 aperture, a second 13mp ultrawide lens with a narrowing capacity of f/2.4 aperture, and a 2mp depth-sensing lens with  f/2.4 aperture.

During daylight, the lens captures best shots, but a little disappointed with low-light or nightlight mode due to overexposed, blurred or unclear capturing effect.

    Battery & Performance

Vivo IQOO has a 4400mAh battery with a processor Snapdragon 855 SoC, which is presently Qualcomm’s flagship chipset. The battery and phone performance is efficient for any gaming and surfing purpose. The Turbocharger quickly power-ups the phone in just 1-hour which lasts all day lone.

    PROS

        • Excellent gaming performance
        • Easy storage upgradation
        • Attractive display
        • Flash charging
        • Excellent daylight capturing capacity
        • The Vivo IQOO has the best FunTouch OS and has an upgraded version of Android 9.0 pie

    CONS

        • Underwhelming cameras+ Lowlight blurring
        • Battery life could be better
        • Does not give access to DRM-protected content
        • Fingerprint sensor troubles sometimes

    Conclusion

If you are seeking for a more affordable smartphone with serious gaming features, then, Vivo IQOO is clearly a better choice. This gaming smartphone provides better and all top-notch features such as the software that enables you to play without any interruption. If you can sacrifice a camera over gaming, then Vivo IQ00 is definitely a better choice to consider.
