Recently, at CES 2020, Sony confirmed a sale of more than 5 million VR headsets already. However, unlike other VR platforms like Rift or HTC Vive, it cannot be played on PC without PSVR headset. It specifically needs a PlayStation 4 console.

There’s a massive scroll of VR games that released in the last few years. Although all were not compatible with PSVR, Sony has reconfigured the best one. Apart from this, Sony PSVR has sufficient games to keep you busy all the time on VR. At least, until they develop more and more.

PlayStation website claims it as “an ambitious new approach that plunges you neck-deep into the nightmare.”

It has dark mode gameplay with a third-person viewpoint. Its previous versions without VR are available on other consoles and PC as well.

In the game, you will control Ethan Winters, whose wife is missing for the last three years. Your task is to find her. You’ll be facing a hell of challenges, weird yet dangerous enemies, and a haunted, deserted location. You’ll definitely jump out of sofas by its scariness.

    Sniper Elite VR

Shooter’s standalone game of Virtual Reality “Sniper Elite VR” is a creation of Rebellion. It came to PSVR in November 2019. This game will take you in history, back to World War 2 in Italy. There you’ll indulge in extreme fights with Italian battle men to rid Sicily.

You’ll move according to Italy WW II map and use specially designed weapons of WW II style. You’ll see many underground bunkers, traditional Italian villages of WW II style, airfields, etc.

The game will be coming up on PlayStation, Oculus Rift, Viveport and SteamVR. There will be Aim and move controllers on PSVR Games.

    Sprint Vector

Are you confused between playing games and hitting the gym? Need not to worry. Sprint Vector will make your workout at home. Sprint Vector will make your real-body do the work while your mind will reside in the Virtual world.

It is a combination of Mario Kart with Jet Set Away. Your race will be on sci-fi roller blades against other players. But, here’s the trick. You’ll not have just buttons or controls. You’ll have to move in real to make a move in the game. This game will surely be cardio with lots of sweating.

    Statik

It is a decent but intelligent game. Statik won’t just take you in VR, but your mind has to hustle a lot. It isn’t like shooting, racing, or zombie game. But a real yet virtual mind game. At each level, whenever you wake up, some Doohickey contraptions will trap your hands. There is no standard control style and buttons will behave differently every time you use them. There will be clues for you to understand when-to-do-what. You’ll have to solve the hints and escape.

The best part of this game is what it does with your real hands. You’ll find yourself more than 100% in virtual reality in this game. You’ll forget that game has trapped your hands in VR only but can work in real. Fishy, right? You’ll understand when you play.

These are just a few biggies of PS VR. There are hundreds of games that can take you to another world, dimension, dreams, and many more spaces. Play more, know more, and update us too in the comments below. Happy playing!

  • Top PlayStation 4 Family Games Coming In 2020

Top PlayStation 4 Family Games Coming In 2020

The PlayStation 4 has a ton of great games, including fantastic family games that you and your children can check out together. However, since the PS4 has over 2000 games, picking out the right ones to play can be super tricky. You can find some games that you can play cooperatively or compete against each other. In this roundup, we briefly outline the games confirmed to release on the PS4 in 2020 that you can enjoy playing with your family.

#1 Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

The Lego series is a super popular video game series on the PS4, and several Lego games have released for the PS4 over the years. The Lego Star Wars: The SkyWalker Saga is the second Lego Star Wars game to come out on the after Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Now that The Skywalker Saga has officially come to an end with the release of The Rise Of Skywalker in December, the timing is perfect for developer Traveler’s Tales to deliver yet another great Lego experience with the iconic action series. It is one of the perfect PlayStation 4 Family Games you can try out.

Rather than picking and choosing a single movie or a specific trilogy, the developer, TT,  is crafting an open-world game that comprises of every mainline film in the Star Wars saga. It is not the first time the team will have tried something like this, but 2007’s Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga game came out before Disney was involved, and obviously, a lot has changed for the Star Wars franchise since its acquisition in 2012.

To further differentiate the new Lego game from The Complete Saga, TT is designing the game so players can enjoy an unrestricted open-world experience, and surprisingly enough, you can tackle the storyline in any order you wish. Each movie from the franchise will have its own hub world, and players will have access to a selection of relevant planets to explore. The plan sounds ambitious and seems like the game will be a massive outing for the Lego series, but it will surely be one that will keep the Skywalker spirit alive in 2020. There is no information about the release date as of yet; however, the game will come out at some point in 2020.

    #2 Final Fantasy VII: Remake

Ever since the PS3 tech demo was revealed showing off a potential remake of the game, many fans have wished for a return to the world of FFVII. Fans finally got their wish at E3 2015, when the reimagining of the classic PS1 JRPG was revealed. It’s now hard to imagine that the once-fabled Final Fantasy VII Remake is almost upon us. What makes the Final Fantasy VII Remake especially interesting is that it’s not a one-to-one remake of the original video game, but rather, it is a reimagining of it. As the first game of a series of instalments, the release of Final Fantasy VII: Remake will mark the beginning of a long road to revitalizing the vast story of the original game.

While many of the essential locations, story beats, and iconic battles in the first location of Midgar seem to remain the same, everything in the game will have a more modern flair to it. In addition to the real-time combat system, you’ll also be able to actively level up different attributes of your character’s weapons and create different load-outs. The new RPG-direction the game is taking opens up new avenues for character and party customization. Additionally, the remake will feature new events and characters, which were not seen in the original game.

    Subplots

New subplots will be introduced to the already well-established story. Despite the modern approach the developers are taking to an older game like FFVII, they also make an effort to retain and emulate the feel of the original game. You can switch to traditional turn-based combat and not deal with the RPG-style levelling-up at all. Fans got their first look at the remake at E3 2019 and were very impressed with how the team has managed to rebuild the game from the ground up. The game will release on April 10, 2020.

    #3 Trials of Mana

If you are a fan of SNES RPGs and remember spending a lot of time playing them, you’ll likely know the pain of having never gotten a third Mana game. Square Enix released an officially translated version of the games via the Collection of Mana bundle in June 2019. While the move proved to be an exciting opportunity for players to experience the long-forgotten classic one more time, the company confirmed that a full-blown remake was also in the works. The Trials of Mana remake reconstructs the original game as a third-person action-RPG. Early footage of the game captures the series’ exciting real-time battles with a more polished and streamlined combat system.

    Trials of Mana
    Trials of Mana

The SNES original’s stunning pixel art has also been converted into gorgeous 3D visuals. Although new dialogue scenes were added, it seems like Trials of Mana’s story will remain mostly the same as the original. The game will allow you to alter how events play out based on the character you choose and those you allow to join your party. The game will release on April 24, 2020.

    #4 Two Point Hospital

Two Point Hospital is a beautiful looking simulator game where hospitals come filled with patients with bizarre illnesses. The game is a spiritual successor to Theme Hospital, but this game is bigger and better. VIPs will take over your wards, and the Two Point Radio DJs will fill your ears with British sass, and slapstick humour.

    Two Point Hospital
    Two Point Hospital

The game is a brilliant homage to Theme Hospital and made by key developers behind it too – making it a simulator with some serious credentials. The game will release on February 25, 2020.

    Verdict: PlayStation 4 Family Games

The PS4 will have no shortage of good family games, even as the console enters its Twilight years. Finding the right games can be understandably difficult, but if you pick up any of these games when they come out, you’ll surely have a good time playing them with your family.

  • Is DualShock 4 The Best Wireless Controller?

Is DualShock 4 The Best Wireless Controller?

Wireless controllers have revolutionized the whole gaming experience. Gone are the days where you would have to sit at a certain distance from the screen due to the wired controllers and worry about the cord breaking up if you moved the controller too excitedly. Wireless controllers provide a great way to play your favourite games remotely. While many wireless controllers are flooding the market right now, nothing quite beats the excellence of DualShock 4.

What Makes DualShock 4 Controller Different From Others?

Launched in 2013 besides the Sony Playstation 4, the DualShock 4 is still one of the most eyecatching and comfortable wireless controllers out there. Coming with a sleek and small build, its ergonomic design makes it sit comfortably in the hands of the user, making the gameplay more intuitive and comfortable. This controller has an excellent response time, which prevents any lags in the gameplay. You can slide over the buttons smoothly, which have a feather touch. It means that there is no need to hit those buttons hard to make your character run faster or fight harder.

    DualShock 4
    DualShock 4

The built-in speakers can enhance the already great sound quality. This, along with the smooth touchpad and motion detection, can improve your overall gaming experience. Also, the front side of the controller contains a light bar that keeps on displaying different colours, giving it a very futuristic look. Attaching a gaming headset or headphones to the controller is pretty straightforward. You can connect them easily with the help of Bluetooth wireless technology.

    Where Does It Lag?

Despite all the beautiful features incorporated in the package, there is still one thing where the controller doesn’t impress, that is, the battery life. On a single charge, the controller can last for up to four-eight hours, which is not exactly outstanding, considering some of its competitors who can back a bit more power.

For this simple reason, it is recommended to have at least two controllers. In this way, even if one of the controllers dies down, you always have the other one to continue playing. Alternatively, you can buy a charging dock, which allows you to charge both the controllers at once (But you won’t be able to play for that time, of course).

    Time To Take Decision

The DualShock 4 can be a great controller for someone who wants a simple controller to play games with and who isn’t used to the more complicated functions which might be there. It feels lovely to hold and works wonders while playing. Though it might be too light for some, the smooth gameplay makes you forget everything else. Also, the buttons and joystick have their signature clickety-clack sound, which can get you more pumped up to just beat the hell out of that boss. Just like the central controller, the PS4, the DualShock comes with a mixed finish of matte and gloss. This gives it a very modern and attractive look, making it hard not to pick it up and start playing.

    Verdict

Nothing is perfect, and neither is the DualShock 4. But what compensates for its weakness is the motion control and smooth gameplay which gamers long for. What’s more, it comes in a variety of colours for you to choose from, so that you can build your own customized set.

  • YouTube TV For PlayStation 4 Is Available Right Now

YouTube TV For PlayStation 4 Is Available Right Now

Now, YouTube TV is now available on PlayStation 4. This is one of the first instances where a third-party live TV subscription service is being launched on Sony’s game console. After the release of its own PlayStation Vue service, the company has kept its rivals off PlayStation 4. This includes the likes of YouTube TV, Sling TV, and Hulu’s live TV. Since PlayStation Vue is coming to an end this month, Sony is planning to introduce other services on its platform. According to a statement by Sony, “Unfortunately, the highly competitive pay TV industry, with expensive content and network deals, has been slower to change than we expected. Because of this, we have decided to remain focused on our core gaming business.”

    YouTube TV For PlayStation 4
    YouTube TV For PlayStation 4

The company didn’t give the users any time to get used to the news. Over the weekend, Sony announced that the app would be now available in PS4 soon. A couple of days later, the app launched and was made available to all PS4 users. With PS Vue getting ready for its shut down, the app comes at the right time. While YouTube TV cannot compete with the likes of Netflix and Hulu, at least not at the moment, it is gaining numbers rapidly.

    YouTube TV on PS4

If you have a PS4, all you need to do in order to use the app is to visit the PlayStation Store. Now, download the app from there. New customers can enjoy a free trial period, post which the service would cost them about $50 every month. If you have already used YouTube TV on other devices, you will find that the interface and experience of the app are pretty much the same. Many believe that Sling TV and other streaming TV apps will soon be featured on Sony PS4 as well.

    YouTube TV
    YouTube TV

It is an excellent way of enjoying cable TV without having to experience all the inconveniences that come with it. PS4 is now picking up compatibility with Google’s service, ensuring that those who have PlayStation 4 will now be able to stream YouTube TV and get their cable content. However, this comes after Xbox One received the same access nearly two years ago.

    YouTube TV App

You may know that Google has already launched its free YouTube TV app on the PlayStation Store. Now, you can easily download and install the app on your PlayStation 4. There is no denying that the app is a bit heavy at 142 MB. Again, although the app is free, you will have to pay a subscription fee for the app in order to be able to make use of it. With the app, users will be able to enjoy full access. You will even be able to view your cloud DVR recordings. You will be using the controller as the input device. This might take time to get used to, but it is still better than having to switch to Roku or Chromecast. While the action may not have been speedy, it is nonetheless here now. PlayStation 4 owners can now enjoy YouTube TV from their consoles.

  • Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore: Crossover Chaos in this awesome Anime adventure

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore: Crossover Chaos in this awesome Anime adventure

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is your classic Japanese role-playing game. This was part of a Wii U title in 2016. It is nice to see that Wii U’s top games have not been forgotten. The game is now being revived for another go on Nintendo Switch. Since the game was launched towards the Wii U’s last days, not many players might have had the chances to give it a go. Atlus developed the Persona series and Intelligent Systems. They are popular for the Paper Mario RPGs and created the Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore between them.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore Crossover
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore Crossover

It is a common enough idea that a crossover of two recognised series could potentially affect the game. However, it really does not have that great an impact. Since the developers have made sure that the game runs on its own path and works independently, it does not matter if the players are unaware of either of the games or series.

    Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore

The game is set in modern-day Tokyo. Itsuki Aoi is the main character in the game. The game opens with him waiting for his friends at a pop star audition. Suddenly, Mirages or alien-like creatures attack the place. Before this, there have been several disappearances and these creatures are behind it. They suck all the creative energy called performa out of the humans.

At this time, Itsuki exhibits a unique ability to transform the attackers into allies. The Mirage attacking Itsuki turns into Chrom while Tsubasa, a fellow auditioner’s attacker, takes the form of Caeda, a character from the Fire Emblem series. It turns out that Ituksi and his friends have amnesia. This is where you enter the game. Now, it is up to you to find out what happened and save them all. All of Ituksi’s friends have their own Mirage counterparts. The game here is not only stopping Mirages from continuing wrecking nuisance but to do this while maintaining a pop star career.

    Tokyo Mirage Session
    Tokyo Mirage Session

    Graphics and Gameplay

The Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore is colourful and vibrant, with a heavy anime backdrop. Every detail has been carefully crafted and attended to. You will notice the character’s designs, their clothes and costumes, and the environment and surroundings itself look neat and extraordinary. The fighting scenes are all about loud explosions, colourful confetti, and splendid effects. The audio and sound effects are amazing. It will let you comfortably tune in to the feel of the game. Besides fighting with Mirages, the characters can also roam around Tokyo, meet friends, attend lessons, and go to gigs.

    Verdict

Anime fans will love the game as will the JRPG’s lovers. The lead character, Itsuki, is a pretty plain character. It would have been better to see the lead with a vibrant personality. Since the player is supposed to take on Itsuki’s character, it is understandable that he didn’t receive much in terms of a personality, but nonetheless, it would have been an interesting game.

  • Nintendo Switch Lite Review

    Nintendo Switch Lite Review

The Nintendo Switch is one of the most popular consoles of our time. After its release in 2017, the platform has had one hit game after another. In 2019, the company decided to change things up and provide a cheaper, more compact alternative to the hybrid Switch console in the form of the Nintendo Switch Lite. Take a look at this Nintendo Switch Lite Review.

    Nintendo Switch Lite Review

The Switch Lite is the smaller, lighter version of the original Nintendo Switch

If you enjoy the flexibility of playing the Switch handheld and on the TV, the Switch Lite isn’t for you, since playing video games docked is not an option here. However, if you are looking for a handheld gaming device or continually use the Switch handheld, but find it a bit clunky for on-the-go gaming, the Switch Lite could be the right device for you. But, as with any device, there are some pros and cons that you should weigh out before deciding to purchase the Nintendo Switch Lite. Let us quickly go over the features of the device in this Nintendo Switch Lite Review, and help you figure out if it is worth your money.

    Design

The difference between the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite is that the Switch Lite is solely a handheld device. There is no option for playing games on your TV, and this makes for a more compact and lightweight design. Its dimensions are 91.1mm x 208mm x 13.9mm, and it weighs 275g, which is much smaller and lighter when compared to the 102mm x 239mm x 13.9mm dimensions and 297g weight of the original Nintendo Switch. The Switch Lite comes with a smaller LCD touch screen, measuring just 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

    Nintendo Switch Lite Design
    Nintendo Switch Lite Design

In other words, the screen is smaller than the original Switch’s 6.2-inch screen, but the resolution is the same. Therefore, you don’t lose anything in terms of picture quality. The Switch Lite has a higher pixel density of 267 pixels-per-inch, making it a little sharper than the original Switch, which has a pixel density of 236 PPI. However, there is a trade-off – it can sometimes be difficult to read the small in-game writing on the screen. The Switch Lite feels more comfortable as a handheld device. The smaller size makes it more portable and convenient to use when compared to the original Switch.

    Switch Lite

To play video games on the Switch Lite, you need less elbow room, and the device itself can fit in a (large) pocket. If you have smaller hands and have used the original Nintendo Switch, you will know that it can be uncomfortable to use in handheld mode, since the device is large by handheld standards. The Lite, on the other hand, is considerably more compact and portable and fits in your hands snugly. However, the device is still quite broad and doesn’t feel quite as comfortable as the Nintendo 3DS did. Furthermore, the Switch Lite comes with controls integrated into the device and does not use Joy-Cons. You can connect up to four Joy-Cons to the Switch Lite wirelessly, but you don’t get any Joy-Cons in the box with the Lite.

    Nintendo Switch Lite Features System
    Nintendo Switch Lite Features System

Despite the controllers being fixed, most buttons remain in the same layout. Only the left, right, up, down buttons have been replaced by a D-Pad. The D-Pad feels natural – almost like it’s always been there. It is undoubtedly more suitable for handheld play than the older layout. The ZR and ZL triggers are a perfect size and help cement that compact design. The L and R buttons are a bit leaner than those on the original Switch, and your fingers may slip off them at times.

The Switch Lite allows wireless connectivity and has Bluetooth, but you cannot use wireless headphones with it. You can also use a MicroSD card to add the 32GB of internal storage. With the Lite, you aren’t missing out on many features aside from docked mode. The Switch Lite comes in turquoise, grey, and yellow colours.

    Performance

The Switch Lite essentially performs just like the Switch, except that it has a slightly longer battery life. What is definitely worth noting is that the Switch Lite does not come with HD Rumble or the IR Motion Camera. The device is designed solely for handheld use, and therefore, can only play Nintendo Switch games that support handheld mode. You can play games that don’t support handheld mode; however, to play these games, you will have to purchase Joy-Cons (and the charging grip separately) and connect them to the Switch Lite wirelessly. Connecting Joy-Cons to the Switch Lite allows you to use HD Rumble.

    Gameplay
    Nintendo Switch Lite Gameplay

According to a Nintendo representative, the Switch Lite will be compatible with more than just the Joy-Cons, but we don’t know what exactly these devices are. Super Mario Party, 1-2 Switch, and Nintendo Labo accessory kits are not suitable for the Switch Lite. These games don’t suit the Switch Lite, because although the device can be paired with the Joy-Cons, playing with more than one person is not practical on the small screen.

The Switch still has an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a brightness sensor. You can use gyro controls in games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. For instance, you can tilt the Switch to aim the bow in the game.x The screen’s brightness adjusts itself automatically depending on your surroundings.  The wireless online play feature enables you to play games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with your friends. Sadly, since it cannot be connected to your TV, there is no opportunity for couch co-op.

    Nintendo Switch Lite
    Nintendo Switch Lite

    Verdict: Nintendo Switch Lite Review

The Switch Lite is compact and light, which makes it feel much less clunky and considerably more polished than its predecessor. It is easy to transport and takes up less elbow space on commutes. It fits your hands snugly. Although it’s not as comfortable as the 3DS, it does pack some great features and performs well for its price. The Nintendo Switch Lite feels like the perfect console for those who enjoy comfortable handheld gaming.

    Cyberpunk 2077

The release date of Cyberpunk 2077 has not yet been confirmed, but it is to be sometime soon. Interestingly, tabletop RPG called Cyberpunk 2020 by the company which is the base of the upcoming game was set in 2020! Developer CD Projekt Red is expected to give us more looks into the game as the arrival date rolls closer. Since the game will not be working on Sony or Microsoft’s new consoles, chances of a next-gen model are pretty negative.

With the new screenshots that make it our way, we do see that the game has some active combat, a stunning car for cruising along the Night City, and we have even had a sneak peek into the dialogue system. Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Google Stadia. As of now, the release date for the game is set to be September 2017, 2020. Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer

While the multiplayer possibility is something that has not yet been confirmed, we can be sure that it is coming. The multiplayer was on and off depending Polish government grant applications and so on. In September last year, its status turned to “confirmed but not scheduled”. The developers mentioned that they do plan to add some multiplayer angle to the game, but it would only be after they have some DLC and other single-player content. While this means we will have to wait for some time, but at least, we do know that they are going to bring in multiplayer games.

    The Gameplay

The game is played in the first person. Players would be in the role of a gun-for-hire roaming on the streets of the Night City. This is where you get introduced to the game’s fast-paced gunplay. Cyberpunk 2077 blends together different aspect of the game, such as dialogue, the backstory, and some hacking and engineering skills. At some places, you will notice the third-person aspect in some driving and in-between scenes. The dystopian future is shown in colourful, vibrant colours and detailed backgrounds. While the game promises hours of fun, do keep in mind that the release is several months away. This means that anything could change.

  • Ghost Of Tsushima Gets Free Dynamic Playstation 4 Theme, Available Through January 2020

Ghost Of Tsushima Gets Free Dynamic Playstation 4 Theme, Available Through January 2020

Sucker Punch recently threw out some news. This revolved around the fact that Ghost of Tsushima received a new free dynamic theme for PlayStation 4. It has been designed from the latest trailer of the game. All you need is a code which you will then have to redeem. Make sure that the code you grab is the correct one, since PlayStation codes are region-specific. Once you get the correct code, feed it to your PS4. The news came early last year December with Sucker Punch posted a tweet mentioning the news. The Ghost of Tsushima dynamic theme basically features a figure standing in a forest as leaves fall from the trees. It is fantastic and we cannot wait to try it out soon enough!

    Ghost Of Tsushima
    Ghost Of Tsushima

After the release of Infamous First Light in 2014, this is the first launch by Sucker Punch Productions. The previous game was unveiled at the October 2017 at Paris Games Week. Soon after, it was followed by gameplay at E3 2018. Looking at this, we see that it has been about a year and a half until the Game Awards 2019 where Ghost of Tsushima came out.

    Ghost of Tsushima

So, what is this all about the Ghost of Tsushima? This game is set during the Mongolian invasion of Japan in 1274 CE. During this time, over a thousand Mongol soldiers landed in the Tsushima island and completely gained control of the island soon after. Players take the role of a Samurai warrior named Jin. He is forced to adapt to the new conditions and play his role as a Ghost to survive and fight against the Mongols.

The trailer focused on the lone samurai story where Jin Sakai is the last samurai left standing. The trailer has some elements that remind us of Sekiro, a popular game released last year. They have managed to get the atmosphere, design, and aesthetics quite right for this time period. Jin will have to work on his battle techniques as he would definitely need more than his traditional samurai methods.

    The release

This game is not yet out. It is expected to release sometime in the summer of 2020 for PlayStation 4. The latest trailer for the game is from The Game Awards 2019. While there have been no particular PlayStation 5 developments mentioned, it could no doubt be mentioned closer to the release date. Many have been under the impression that Sony might play this close to the chest, holding the release of the Ghost of Tsushima back for a while. The idea behind this would have been to introduce it as an early PS5 launch title. However, the State of Play broadcast earlier this week said that we will see the game on PS4 as well.

Sony is working quite hard to release new titles in the upcoming year. In addition to the Ghost of Tsushima, they are also working to release The Last of Us Part II sometime in May. Of course, we are all also looking forward to the launch of PlayStation 5.

  • Does Stadia Support Cross-Platform Play?

    Does Stadia Support Cross-Platform Play?

Before we get into Stadia’s features and whether it supports cross-platform play, let us first talk about Stadia itself. Google recently launched its cloud service that lets users play big-budget games. The key point here is that players will not need any downloads, consoles, gaming PCs, and discs. The reason behind this is that Stadia has been designed in a unique manner. It allows its users to purchase the games they want on servers in the cloud. While it sounds a bit dodgy, it is highly reliable.

One thing you may want to keep in mind is that it will not work as well as a proper gaming PC or console, but it gives you great gaming experience with hardly any hardware investment. With a decent internet connection, a good Wi-Fi router, a nice headphone, and a choice between the Pixel phone, Chromecast Ultra dongle, or the Chrome web browser are all you require to get started. Since Google’s cloud gaming service has only just started, the service is not nearly as effective as one might hope. We hope the new year will bring some great changes.

Google’s video game streaming service launched quite recently. With 2019 coming to an end, the gaming service has 22 games to its credit. With not many games supporting cross-play, players might not find it easy to play games competitively online.

    What is cross-platform play?

So, what is cross-platform play? The term refers to the fact that those playing on different devices would be able to play multiplayer games with each other. A good example is when PlayStation 4 users can get down for a match against a player on Nintendo Switch. Most console games today only let players play against those using the same console. With cross-platform play, it will expand a whole new area for the players.

So, does Stadia Support Cross-Platform Play?

Long story short, yes, Stadia does support cross-platform play. However, the main thing to note here is that Google has not mentioned which devices or services will be compatible. It is not yet known if devices like PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch will be supported by Stadia for cross-platform play. However, we can be sure that it will support cross-play between Stadia-capable devices, such as Android Pixel phones, Chromebooks, and Chromecast.

Cross-platform support is not available on every game. For instance, Destiny 2 only offers cross-save. Destiny 2 is considered by many to be Stadia’s flagship game. It is offered with Stadia Pro subscription. Players trying to socialize in the game are struggling to do so due to cross-play issues.

Players hope that sometime in the near future cross-play will become the norm, opening more avenues for the players and allowing for a better gaming experience. It looks like Google is working with developers to make sure that this feature is made available many games as possible. Stadia Games and Entertainment is Google’s new gaming studio. The head of this department, Jade Raymond, mentioned that they would be focusing on executing cross-play in first-party titles.

The design does it best to keep the players captivated throughout. A new character seen here is Cappy. Players would have to literally cut segments out of their bodies using scissors. Although it is based heavily on trial-and-error gameplay, it is a big part of the entertainment factor. The users don’t seem to mind it either. If you are playing with friends, you can use the Party mode where up to 4 friends can be added.

    7. The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
