Tinder tries to break up with the Google Play Store

Tinder has been on a buzz for the wrong reason. It has attempted to break up with the tax policies set by Google Play. This backlash can shake up the billion-dollar industry ruled by Apple and Google. Tinder is an online dating app that has introduced a new default payment option.

In this process, it allows users to enter their card details directly into the app while skipping Google Play. According to new research by Ben Schachter, a Macquarie analyst, it also keeps users from saving payment info on Google Play for next purchases.

In an interview, Schachter added that Google earns billions of dollars with this high-margin business. When this note was published, the shares of Match Group Inc, Tinder’s parent company, witnessed a steep growth of 5%. On the other side, Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc’s shares were a bit affected.

Both Google and Apple have launched their official app stores in the year 2008. They soon became billion-dollar marketplaces to offer the creations of millions of individual developers to billions of smartphone users.

Around 30% of revenue comes from the developers to the company. According to the projections given by App Annie, the app economy is all set to expand by a whopping $157 billion by 2022.

With the growth of the market, there is a rebellion growing and gaining steam eventually. Earlier this year, Spotify Technology SA had filed an antitrust petition against the cut Apple takes as tax, with the European Commission.

Recently, Netflix Inc. also stopped subscriptions via the App Store for the users. Epic Games Inc. also stopped distributing one of its most popular games, Fortnite, through Google Play.

Match hasn’t said anything to the questions regarding whether the company was also looking after the matter of breaking up with the App Store. The match is looking forward to discussing the change in payment flow with investors and analysts in its call for the next hearings.

A spokesperson for Match, Justine Sacco wrote in an email, “We are constantly testing new features and updates at Match Group to offer better control, convenience, and options to the users. We will always provide options to improve user experience, and payment option is no exception.”

For this matter, Google hasn’t told anything quickly. The match is the only company among several high-profile giants that have discontinued the payment with Apple’s App Store, according to Schachter. Instead, others have allowed subscribers to enter payment details on their own website.

Tinder’s impact on this decision

Tinder’s decision could make a small impact. Schachter added, “Tinder might not have any major effect as it is quite small but the concern is growing. Gaming apps are also looking forward to this rage. We are about to see many companies who might be trying to test this.”

It’s time to wait and watch how Google reacts to this matter and what Tinder’s new payment option would do. It might break the ice for all other services and apps to follow its footsteps. It will cause a huge loss to the revenue from the Google Play store.

Motorola May Add Flashy Moto E6 Play to its Budget Lineup
When it comes to affordability, Motorola has always forced the users to compromise on specifications and Moto E6 is no exception. When going for a budget Android device, be prepared to sacrifice build quality, high-end specs, and even looks for something functional and cheap. But as per the new renders coming out by Mobielkopen, a German website, Motorola is expected to add a slick visual update on its E6 line. It might come as E6 Play.

The standard E6 variant came out for $149 as a budget Android device this summer on the cheaper side, followed by Moto G7 Play. Unlike E5, Moto E6 was the only model, which came out until adding E6 Plus the way back in the month of September. However, E6 Plus was launched only in South American and European markets.

According to these renders, the E6 range might be finally getting its Play version soon. The renders highlighted in Android Central flaunt what the display would be like with an 18:9 aspect ratio, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and traditional Micro USB charging port, which would make it stand out from E6 Plus.

It is also revealed by Android Central that lack of dual-lens camera in E6 Plus and placement of camera further show that it is much likely the Play variant.

This service has had a very negative impact on network operators. It has been used for the decision-making process in order to extend the network coverage.

In March 2017, the Mobile Network Insights service was introduced to help the carriers. Google’s Network Insights was indeed helpful for network operators with the availability of a lot of new Android devices.

Tinder is now bypassing the Play Store on Android

The parent company of Tinder, Match Group has just been on a buzz these days for avoiding Google’s 30% cut, both for in-app purchases and applications front. Even online stores like Discord and Epic are trying to make the name by charging lower fees.

Tinder has just developed its own payment gateway which completely skips Google Play Store’s gateway and takes payment from the users directly. If you choose this method, you will no longer find the Google Play Store for payment processing.

Tinder develops a new payment processing system to skip Google’s fees

The new approach by Match Group asks users to enter their card details into Tinder’s payment gateway directly, according to Bloomberg. However, users may or may not pay for the in-app purchases of services like Tinder Plus and Tinder Gold.

This move is much popular and similar to the one made by Epic Games, the well-known game developer which has launched the popular battle royale game Fortnite earlier this year. To skip 30 percent cut by Google, it has its own launcher to download the same.

Tinder is basically the most profitable app by Match Group. It is definitely one of the top-grossing free apps for iOS and Android with the ability to find out when your messages have been read. It has some IAP options and subscription services.

According to a statement by Justine Sacco, Match Group spokesperson, to Bloomberg, it added, “We are constantly testing new features and updates at Match Group to offer control, convenience, and options to the users at Match Group. We will always provide options for great user experience and providing different payment options.”

Once the user enters credit card info in the Tinder’s system, this app takes the users to that payment method by default for any in-app purchases in the future. This is the way Tinder bypasses a 30-percent cut by Google.

Since One UI is based on Android Pie, there are multiple features of the latter that you might see here. One of the most popular ones includes the smart orientation lock feature. New Icons and Design Elements

New Animations and Animation Control

One UI has come up with a ton of new and better animation. You will come across this in multiple instances as you use your phone. The animations to launch the multi-task menu, drop down the quick settings panel, and animations to close apps all have bright and responsive animations, making it a delight to see them. The screenshot animation is also wonderful to see! If you are not very fond of active animation, you can reduce it by visiting the settings menu. While you cannot completely disable, you can definitely lower its vibrancy.

PS5 Price, Release Date Leaked
The PlayStation 5 or PS5 is all set to be the next iteration of PlayStation console which is scheduled to be launched in 2020 by Sony. Even though there is no official confirmation from Sony yet and we still need to wait a year for the release, there is a report revealed online which gives the hints of the launch date, games, price, as well as specs of the most awaited PlayStation 5.

According to a Europe-based 3^rd party developer, PlayStation will be arriving with new title launches, including a PUBG remaster, Gran Turismo 7, Battlefield Bad Company, Assassin’s Creed, GTA 6 among others. According to the report, the PlayStation 5 pricing would be around $499. It may be launched either on November 2020 or earlier in March 2020.

According to a Pastebin report, PlayStation 5 would include some of the latest titles with its launch, including PUBG remaster, Gran Turismo 7, Ghost of Tsushima, Last of Us: Part II remaster, Harry Potter, Battlefield Bad Company 3, and Assassin’s Creed.

The leaks further reveal that GTA 6 will come exclusively for one month and Horizon Zero Dawn 2 to be released around 2021 in PlayStation 5.

The GTA 6 is going to be the next installment in the series of Grand Theft Auto and it will be based in two major cities – New York City (Liberty City) and Miami. In addition, the PlayStation 5 will also feature backward support, AMD Ryzen CPU, Navi GPU, and several physical games.

Expected Specifications of PS5

When it comes to the specifications, the next generation of PlayStation will feature 24GB DDR6 RAM, while 4GB DDR4 will be dedicated to the OS itself. Along with it, the PS5 will feature 2TB HDD with NAND flash, 8K upscaling, and DualShock 5 controllers. For VR tracing, it will also have a camera.

It was earlier reported that PlayStation VR2 might be officially announced with PlayStation 5 by Sony. The specifications for PS VR2, are is expected to come with the followings:
